Polyethylene BL3, also known as HF4760, is a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) copolymer developed specifically for blow molding applications. Produced by suspension polymerization of ethylene with 1-butene as a comonomer, this resin combines durability, processability, and strength.

With a density of 0.954 g/cm³ and a melt flow index (MFI) of 23 (190 °C / 21.6 kg), HDPE BL3 is engineered for applications requiring high rigidity, chemical resistance, and reliable performance under stress.

Supplied in granular (pellet) form, it contains antioxidants, process stabilizers, lubricants, and acid scavengers to ensure processing efficiency and product stability.

Manufactured by Marun Petrochemical Company under Basell license, BL3 is trusted for both industrial and consumer packaging applications.

HDPE BL3 offers excellent rigidity and dimensional stability due to its high molecular weight and density. It maintains its shape under heavy loads and is less prone to warping or deformation when exposed to stress or temperature fluctuations, ensuring long-lasting structural performance.

Good Flowability

With a high melt flow index and low melt viscosity, this grade provides outstanding flowability during processing, resulting in efficient molding operations, high productivity, and versatile design capabilities.

Good Impact Strength

Engineered for impact resistance, BL3 (HF4760) absorbs and distributes energy effectively, enabling products to withstand sudden shocks or drops without breaking or cracking. This makes it ideal for durable blow-molded applications.

Good Stress Crack Resistance (ESCR)

HDPE BL3 demonstrates strong resistance to stress cracking caused by chemicals, pressure, or environmental conditions. Its high ESCR ensures durability, safety, and reliability in demanding industrial and consumer applications.

HDPE BL3 (HF4760) is specifically engineered for small blow molding applications, where rigidity, flowability, and durability are essential. With its compliance to EEC food-contact regulations, it is suitable for both industrial and consumer packaging solutions.

Typical Applications

  • Bottles & Containers – small blow-molded bottles for liquids and consumer goods.

  • Household Packaging – containers for detergents, cleaners, and other household chemicals.

  • Pharmaceutical Packaging – medicine bottles ensuring safety and compliance.

  • Industrial Chemicals – packaging for surfactants and other chemical solutions.

  • Food-Grade Packaging – small food containers and bottles conforming to EEC regulations.

Key Benefits for Applications

  • High Rigidity – ensures containers retain shape and structural stability.

  • Good Flowability – allows efficient processing and cost-effective production.

  • Food Contact Safe – suitable for food and beverage packaging.

  • Durable Performance – resistant to impact, stress, and chemical exposure.
